Fabio Patrone was born in Genoa, Italy in 1988. He got his Bachelor Degree in Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Genoa in December 2010, his Master Degree in Telecommunication Engineering at the same university in March 2013, and his Ph.D. on “Protocols and Algorithms Optimization over Delay and Disruption Tolerant Nanosatellite Network for Rural Internet Access” in 2016.
He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Satellite Communications and heterogeneous Networking Laboratory (SCNL), University of Genoa, and his main research activities concern:
- Routing, Scheduling, Flow Control, and Congestion Control Algorithms in Delay and Disruption Tolerant Networks (DTN);
- Networking solutions for Satellite, Aerial, Ground Integrated Networks;
- Integration of 5G and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in Satellite Networks;
- Cybersecurity in Satellite Networks.
